About LyEve
LyEve started as a weekend project and grew into the headless CMS we wanted for ourselves. Your content lives in real SQL tables, in your database, on servers you run.
Why we built it
Every headless CMS we tried did at least one of three things wrong: stored content in JSONB blobs you couldn't query, locked the good parts behind a managed-cloud subscription, or treated self-hosting as an afterthought. LyEve gives every content type its own real SQL table, on PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server. Your data stays queryable, portable, and yours.
What is free and what you pay for
The engine and the admin are MIT-licensed. You can self-host them, change them and ship them commercially at no cost.
Paid capabilities such as GraphQL, AI, full-text search, SSO and extra tenants activate from a single
LYEVE_LICENSE_KEY
environment variable.
The free plugins cost nothing and run under the Plugin EULA. Paid capabilities fund the work on the engine.
