Terms of Service

Effective

1. Acceptance

By accessing lyeve.com or using the LyEve engine and any LyEve plugin, you agree to these Terms. If you are using LyEve on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

LyEve provides:

  • The LyEve engine: the open-source engine of the headless CMS, released under the MIT License.
  • Plugins: proprietary plugins distributed under the LyEve Plugin EULA: free-tier plugins run on every install, and paid plugins and capabilities are activated by a valid license JWT.
  • License platform: account management, PayPal billing, and license key issuance.
  • Customer portal: self-service management of your subscription, license key, and registered installs.

3. License keys

Your subscription is licensed to one account, and you can run the engine with either of two credentials. A license token is an Ed25519-signed JWT that lists what your subscription entitles. The engine verifies it offline against an embedded public key and never contacts us. An opaque license key can be used instead. The engine sends that key, with a random install identifier, to our license server to obtain a token, and sends it again before each token expires, so an install configured with a key contacts the license server periodically for as long as it runs. You must not share, resell, or transfer your key or token without prior written consent. We may revoke a key for breach of these terms after reasonable notice.

On cancellation or expiry, the engine enters a 7-day offline grace period during which entitled plugins and capabilities continue to activate. After the grace window, paid plugins and paid capabilities remain compiled in but stay inert, while the engine and the free-tier plugins keep running. Your data is never deleted automatically.

4. Payment and refunds

Subscriptions and one-time orders are billed via PayPal. All prices are quoted in USD unless noted. Volume discounts apply on the cart at checkout: 15% off 3, 4 or 5 distinct plugins, and 25% off 6 or more. One or two plugins carry no volume discount. We offer a 7-day refund on first payment if you are not satisfied. Contact billing@lyeve.com. No refunds on renewal charges unless required by applicable law.

Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers are locked in at their current rate until they change plans.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to (and a fuller list lives at lyeve.com/legal/aup):

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble plugin code, except where applicable law expressly forbids that restriction.
  • Use the platform to serve content that is illegal, abusive, infringes third-party rights, or facilitates harm.
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your license JWT outside your own subscription scope.
  • Attempt to circumvent the license verifier, embedded public key, or activation matrix.
  • Resell or white-label the license platform without a written reseller agreement.

6. Intellectual property

The LyEve engine source, with the admin UI, is released under the MIT License. Every LyEve plugin is commercial software released under the LyEve Plugin EULA at lyeve.com/legal/eula. Free-tier plugins are licensed under it without a subscription. Paid plugins and paid capabilities, the à-la-carte catalog at lyeve.com/plugins, need one. The customer Docker image contains all plugin code compiled in. A paid plugin or capability activates only with a valid license JWT.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYEVE LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the customer portal. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with 7 days' notice where practicable (immediately for security incidents or illegal activity). Sections 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Indonesia unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.

10. Export controls and sanctions

You may not use LyEve in any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, or export, re-export, or transfer LyEve software to any party where doing so would violate applicable export-control law.

11. Changes

We will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
