A discount for projects the cart does not fit yet.
We were indies before we were a company. That is why the LyEve engine is MIT licensed and free to run. If the paid plugins still don't fit your stage, ask. We grade on the merits and reply within a week.
Who typically qualifies
Not exhaustive. If you don't fit any bucket but think you should, tell us why in the form.
Indie makers
Solo or two-person teams shipping a product. Revenue under $5k a month counts in your favor. An honest figure helps more than a round one.
Students
Active .edu email, student card, or any verifiable proof of enrollment. Side-projects, capstones, and theses all count.
Nonprofits
Registered 501(c)(3) or local equivalent. Send the organization name and proof of registration.
OSS maintainers
Active maintainer of an open-source project. Show us the repo, recent commits, or download counts.
Bootstrapped SaaS
No outside funding, a small team and paying customers. We run the same way.
Apply for a discount
Five fields are required. The rest help us grade you fairly.
What we ask for
Honesty over paperwork
We don't ask for tax returns or audited financials. A clear paragraph about your stage and why a discount would help is what we read.
Real grading, not flat rules
Discount size depends on your circumstances. A bootstrapped founder at $300 MRR gets more than a recently funded YC company.
No public list
We never disclose who got what discount. Your application stays between you and us.
Reapply anytime
If your project outgrows the discount, tell us and we end it. If you were declined, reapply when things change.
What we track and why
Every application is stored against your account so we don't ask the same questions twice. We aggregate categories and reasons across applications to learn which groups need more support. That is how we keep the program fair.
We do not publish your name, your project, or the discount you received. We do not share applications outside LyEve. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling rules.
Already a paying customer and your situation changed? Email community@lyeve.com and we will grade it again.
